Dual Enrollment (DE)
in partnership with Mendocino College
Dual enrollment provides students with the opportunity to earn college credit for courses completed while you're still in high school.
PLUS, those courses also count toward your high school diploma.
Freshman Seminar:
At FBHS, we put students on the path to real-world skill development and college/career exploration right away!
All Freshmen have the opportunity to experience the college application process* through FRESHMEN SEMINAR (a year-long class taken by FBHS Freshmen). The Spring semester of Freshmen Seminar features CCS-100: Career Planning Success through Mendocino College, and serves as the first of our Dual Enrollment offerings.
We emphasize the skills needed to navigate the wide range of opportunities available to our students.
*Whether students plan to attend college, a trade program, or want to enter the work force, the college application process mirrors activities necessary for success throughout their adult lives.
FBHS partners with Mendocino College to offer college courses to students, grades 10-12, at the High School within the school day.
Students do NOT pay tuition/fees for these college courses, they are free to FBHS students!
