The FBHS Art Room presents... A collaborative altar for Día De Los Muertos!
WHAT IS DIA DE LOS MUERTOS?
Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a meaningful celebration that honors the connection between the living and those who have passed. It takes place on November 1st and 2nd, with some communities beginning as early as October 28. Families gather to decorate altars (ofrendas), share memories, and celebrate the lives of loved ones — including both people and pets who are no longer with them.
WANT TO PARTICIPATE?
Everyone is welcome to take part! Bring a framed photo of someone you’d like to honor, and you can also include a small item they enjoyed to place with their picture.
Instructions:
• Drop off items to Mrs. Gallegos in Room 209
• Add a label with your name so items can be returned
• Still accepting pictures (framed or unframed) until October 28th
Contact ygallegos@fbusd.us if you have any questions
